From The Chronicle: Tenure Decisions at Southern Cal Strongly Favor White Men, Data in a Rejected Candidate's Complaint Suggest

The article "Tenure Decisions at Southern Cal Strongly Favor White Men, Data in a Rejected Candidate's Complaint Suggest" appeared in the November 13, 2012 issue of The Chronicle and summarizes a tenure dispute case by a minority woman faculty member.  As part of her dispute, Dr. Cross sites insitutional data on tenure decisions in departments of the U. of Southern California's College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences showing that 92 percent of white men but only 55 percent of women and professors from minority groups were awarded tenure from 1998 to 2012.
