Lehigh's Xuanhong Cheng, Assistant Professor in Materials Science and Engineering, responds to a new microchip that sorts white blood cells from whole blood. The research is featured in the Research Update section of MIT News. Professor Cheng recognizes the important milestone of developing a technique capable of matching conventional cell-sorting techniques, “but with much less manual handling and contamination of red blood cell debris.”
