On February 29, 2024, over 30 faculty, postdocs and graduate students joined in an educational and interactive professional development program to convey knowledge and skills to help recognize and respond to bias moments. The interative imrpov theater approach with PowerPlay, buttressed with the facilitation of Dr. Stephanie Goodwin, put our attendees in the driver seat to try out new ways to change the narrative, reduce harm, and get to better. Remember norms follow power, and speaking up (even if a little clumsy) lets others know we are moving the norms for respectful interaction towards dialogues that promote inclusion and belonging. This activity was cosponsored by a grant from the Center for Ethics Endowed Fund for the Teaching of Ethicial Decision-Making, the Lehigh ADVANCE Center, and the Office of the Provost.
