A new research paper in Nature: Ecology & Evolution by Jimez and Laverty of Dr. Liba Pejchar's lab,  at Colorado State University, found that amongst faculty in ecology and evolutionary biology, [tenure track] "...faculty with underrepresented identities disproportionally engage in diversity and inclusion activities, yet such engagement was not considered important for tenure.

US National Academy of Sciences (NAS) is moving ahead with a policy that would allow it to expel members found guilty of sexual harassment.  They still have to get the vote through a simple majority of the entire body, then they'd have to develop a process of evaluating the evidence. The other academies, NAE and NAM, have their own codes of conduct. Read more here:

How we train faculty to improve their mentoring of STEM graduate students and post-docs is the subject of a 2018 paper by Dr. Amanda Hund and colleagues from Academic Practice in Ecology and Evolution. The insights and the framework shared increase any department's capacity to examine how they prepare faculty to support future scientists.
