You can learn more about them here:
Dr. Daniella Alva
Dr. Daniella Alva is a postdoctoral scholar at Lehigh University's College of Business and is the lab manager of the Behavioral Research Lab (BRL). She received her Ph.D. in Political Science from Stony Brook University in Spring 2024. Broadly, her research focuses on American politics, political economy, and political behavior. Her work uses experimental methods, public opinion data, and formal theory to examine how psychological motivations, such as compassion and fairness, influence political attitudes and behavior. In particular, she is interested in how our experiences with income inequality impact our preferences toward redistribution. She also studies how motivations like compassion and fairness influence our decisions about redistribution and social insurance. Additional research interests include racial prejudice, cooperation, climate change mitigation, and the provision of public goods.
Dr. Candace Jordan
While Dr. Jordan was recruited last year, she joins the department in Fall 2024.
Dr. Jiaqi Liu
Dr. Liu will join the department of Mathematics in Fall 2025.
