You can learn more about them here:

Dr. Daniella Alva

Dr. Alva, Behavioral Research Lab, College of Business

Dr. Daniella Alva is a postdoctoral scholar at Lehigh University's College of Business and is the lab manager of the Behavioral Research Lab (BRL). She received her Ph.D. in Political Science from Stony Brook University in Spring 2024. Broadly, her research focuses on American politics, political economy, and political behavior. Her work uses experimental methods, public opinion data, and formal theory to examine how psychological motivations, such as compassion and fairness, influence political attitudes and behavior. In particular, she is interested in how our experiences with income inequality impact our preferences toward redistribution. She also studies how motivations like compassion and fairness influence our decisions about redistribution and social insurance. Additional research interests include racial prejudice, cooperation, climate change mitigation, and the provision of public goods.

Dr. Candace Jordan

Dr. Jordan joins Religion, Culture, and Society

Dr. Candace Jordan is an Advancing Future Faculty Diversity Postdoctoral Scholar at Lehigh University in the department of Religion, Culture & Society. She was recruited during 2023-2024 and joined our commlunmity in Fall 2024.  She holds a Ph.D. in Religion from Princeton University and a B.A. in Religion and Philosophy from Haverford College. Dr. Jordan’s work integrates religious ethics with moral psychology and feminist philosophy. She is preparing a book manuscript from her doctoral dissertation, which illuminates the value of anger, especially as a resource for those suffering gender and racial oppression. The project explores the relationship between divine anger and human anger and whether feeling anger in response to injustice is required for the right acknowledgment of injustice.

Dr. Jiaqi Liu

Coming Soon to Lehigh Mathematics

Dr. Liu will join the department of Mathematics in Fall 2025.
